Why does the presenters stop and a red X appears
over the talking bubble. Why do I see an hourglass with a red X over it
when a presenter is speaking?
There can be two causes for this problem.
- The presenter's PC processor is suddenly giving
priority to another process running on their PC. When this happens it
take priority away from the microphone and temporarily disables it. This
can occur if your system is set to give priority to activities such as:
-
Automatic MS Windows updates;
-
Automatic MS Security updates;
-
Automatic Virus
scans and/or definition updates;
-
E-mail clients
downloading e-mail; and,
-
Many other
situations.
- This can be caused by packet losses occurring between
the presenter's Pc internet connection and your PC.
What can be done to try and prevent the above from
happening?
Close all applications, including automatic updates,
virus scans, etc., etc., on the PC being used by the presenter.
